Torque Arms
A torque arm is a support device for powered torque tools, which is designed to hold the weight of the power tool, whilst absorbing and controlling any torque reaction that is generated during tightening, like from an electric torque screwdriver, nutrunner or impact wrench.
Torque arms have hinges, sliding rails and articulated joints, which enables the operator freedom of movement but prevents a torque reaction transmitting to the operator’s wrist, arm or shoulder, which improves accuracy, safety and ergonomics during repetitive fastening tasks.
They are designed to reduce product rework and operator mistakes by adding another layer of error-proofing to the manufacturing line, and are used in the automotive assembly, aerospace manufacturing and industrial assembly sectors.
