Adjustable Torque Screwdrivers
An adjustable torque screwdriver is a precision torque tool, that is designed to apply a controlled and user-selectable amount of torque to screws and small fasteners.
The operator can quickly alter the amount of torque an adjustable torque screwdriver can apply to a screw, by adjusting a micrometer-style scale or rotating handle on the tool. When the desired torque level has been applied to the fastener, the torque screwdriver will either click or slip, depending on what type of mechanism is inside of it.
Adjustable torque screwdrivers are used because of their versaility in the electronics, aerospace and medical device manufacturing industries.
