ESD Safe Torque Screwdrivers
An electrostatic discharge (ESD) safe torque screwdriver is a precision torque tool, that is safe to use when tightening screws around electronic components, which are sensitive to electrostatic discharge, such as circuits, semiconductors and electronic assemblies.
ESD torque screwdrivers have dissipative plastics and coatings on their outer body, which are designed to channel static electricity away from the operator and the torque tool.
An ESD torque screwdriver is used in environments where torque accuracy and ESD protection are critical, such as in the telecommunications, medical device production, electronics manufacturing and PCB assembly sectors.
