Gedore Ratchet Torque Wrench Ends
Gedore ratchet torque wrench ends are interchangeable fittings designed to connect compatible Gedore torque wrenches to sockets for tightening nuts, bolts and other fasteners to a controlled torque.
The square drive accepts a suitable socket, allowing the torque wrench to be used with different fastener sizes and types simply by changing the socket that connects to the ratchet. The ratcheting mechanism drives the fastener in one direction while allowing the wrench to move freely in the opposite direction, which means the torque wrench does not need to be removed and repositioned after each turn. This makes ratchet fittings useful where the available swing space is restricted.
The Gedore range includes two 1/4" square-drive ratchet fittings. The A28990 is an 8-tooth ratchet that has an 8mm spigot and a maximum torque of 10Nm, while the A73640 uses a captive-pin connection for Gedore TBN 2 and TBN 10 torque wrenches and features a 22-tooth ratchet with a maximum torque of 10Nm.
