Forked Cable Lugs

A forked cable lug is also known as a 'spade terminal' and is a wire connector that has a two-pronged, U-shaped end with a tubular barrel that is used to terminate cable to connectors like studs, screw terminals and bus-bars.

Fork cable lugs allow the operator to connect the lug to the terminal quickly, because this type of lug slides under the connecting bolt, which can then be tightened to the lug.

Fork cable lugs are used in applications where there are lower levels of vibration, because they cannot handle the same levels of vibration that a cable lug with a ring-end can, which means they are more suitable for use on general electronic appliances, circuit breakers and control panels.
