Digital Torque Wrenches
A digital torque wrench is also known as an 'electronic torque wrench', and enables the operator to easily set a torque value on its electronic display, in order to tighten fasteners accurately.
The display on a digital torque wrench provides real-time information, such as the amount of torque being applied to a fastener, as well as its fastening angle. When the desired torque level is hit, an alert is triggered for the operator, such as a vibration, beep or a lit up display.
Many digital torque wrenches can store torque and fastening data from previous applications, which can then be sent to a PC for evaluation or record keeping, which makes them popular in sectors where quality control, traceability and precision are essential, such as aerospace, manufacturing and automotive.
