Orbital Sanders
An orbital sander is also known as a 'circular sander' and is a hand operated power tool that has an abrasive material, like sandpaper, attached to it to smooth materials like wood and composite in a predicatable circular motion.
Orbital sanders are more likely to leave swirl marks or over sand an area, which is harder to do with a random orbit sander, and is why orbital sanders are more regularly used for sanding materials that don't need to be smoothed to a high level of accuracy, like when removing fine layers of paint from wood or metal.
Orbital sanders are used by furniture restorers, DIYers and decorators.
