Safe-T-Cable Ferrules & Assemblies
Safe-T-Cable assemblies are stronger and lighter than lockwire, and are used to prevent bolts, nuts and other fasteners from loosening in environments where there is excessive heat and vibration, such as in planes and cars.
It consists of multiple strands of high-tensile wire, featuring a factory-installed end fitting on one side, while the opposite end is electromechanically fused to create a smooth, rigid tip for easy threading, and is applied to bolts with a Safe-T-Cable tool, which crimps and cuts the cable.
Safe-T-Cable is widely used in the aerospace, nuclear, marine and motorsport sectors.
