Manual Safe-T-Cable Tools
A manual Safe-T-Cable tool is a hand tool that is either preset at the DMC factory (part numbers begin with 'SCT') or adjustable (part numbers begin with 'SCTR') and is used to tension, crimp and cut Safe-T-Cable in a controlled and repeatable method.
Preset Safe-T-Cable tools apply a pre-set tension to Safe-T-Cable, before adjusting to crimp/cut mode when the desired tension has been reached, whereas adjustable Safe-T-Cable tools generate a 'click' sound from the rotary tension mechanism when the correct tension has been reached, then the operator actuates the tool to crimp the ferrule, then again so that it cuts any excess cable.
Manual Safe-T-Cable tools are lightweight and portable, and are used for low to medium-volume work.
