A hex socket is generally used with used with a ratchet or torque wrench and has six sides that come into contact with a fastener, to tighten or un-tighten it.
We sell a wide range of external hex sockets that can tighten/untighten nuts and bolts by gripping the outer areas of the fastener, whereas internal hex sockets (also known as 'hex end sockets') adjust fasteners from inside the head.
We also sell bi-hex sockets, which have 12 sides inside the socket for enhanced grip.
