Copper Cable Lugs
A copper cable lug is a wire connector that is used to terminate copper cable to copper connectors, such as panels, busbars, transformers and batteries.
Copper cable lugs are commonly tin plated to protect them from corrosion. They are also are highly conductive, whilst having a low coefficient of thermal expansion, which reduces the risk of overheating and potentially fire.
They are crimped onto copper wire with a crimping tool to create a permanent mechanical and electrical bond, and are used by electricians and engineers in the automotive, marine, renewable energy and defence sectors, as well as on large-scale power distribution networks, and on machinery in factories and production lines.
