Adjustable Torque Wrenches
An adjustable torque wrench is a precision fastening tool, that enables the operator to set a specific torque value on the torque wrench's external scale before tightening a fastener. By being able to adjust the torque on the wrench, it enables the operator to use one torque wrench for multiple fastening jobs.
When the operator has reached the set torque value for tightening the fastener, it will either click, show a visual reading or provide an electronic alert, depending on what type of adjustable torque wrench it is.
Due to the versatility of adjustable torque wrenches, they are used widely by automotive mechanics, bicycle technicians, construction workers, aerospace engineers and DIYers.
