Chop Saws

A chop saw is a stationary power saw, also known as a 'cut-off saw', with a large circular blade or cutting disc that pivots down from a frame to make fast, straight cross cuts, typically at 90 degrees. It can be used on materials such as wood, steel, aluminium and other metals, depending on the type of blade or disc fitted.

Chop saws are commonly found on construction sites, where they are used to make quick, clean and repeatable downward cuts through timber, conduit, pipe and framing materials. They are also widely used by metal fabricators who need accurate, consistent cuts in metal stock, including tube, bar, angle and box section.
