Electric Multi-Tools
An electric multi-tool is also known as an 'electric oscillating multi-tool' and is a versatile mains-powered tool used for cutting, sanding, scraping, trimming and surface preparation.
Oscillating multi-tools are designed to work with interchangeable accessories, giving operators a versatile tool for detailed jobs, repairs and finishing work where controlled movement is important. This is because an oscillating multi-tool works by moving the fitted accessory rapidly from side to side through a small oscillating arc, rather than rotating like a drill or grinder, allowing plunge-cut blades, sanding pads, scraper blades and other attachments to work close to edges, in corners and in confined spaces.
Electric multi-tools are corded, meaning no battery is required, so the tool can be suitable for longer periods of use, providing consistent power even when under load.
These power tools can be used for heavy-duty work and are used by joiners for precise cuts in wood, flooring installers for undercutting door jambs and plumbers for cutting pipes.
