Air Impact Wrenches
An air impact wrench is also known as a 'pneumatic impact wrench' and uses compressed air to drive an internal motor and hammer mechanism, to tighten and loosen nuts, bolts and other threaded fasteners.
Air impact wrenches deliver high torque output through short bursts of rotational force, which is transferred through the square drive to an impact-rated socket, helping the tool loosen tight, rusted or seized fasteners with less manual effort.
Air impact wrenches can only be used where a suitable compressed air supply is available. They are less likely to overheat than battery-powered impact wrenches, especially when put under load, which is why they are used in environments where they are likely to be functioning for prolonged periods every day, such as on production lines and in garages.
