Impact Socket Sets
An impact socket set contains an array of impact sockets, which are designed to handle the shock, vibration and torque that is generated from an impact wrench, when used to fasten and unfasten stubborn nuts and bolts.
Impact sockets are normally made from chrome molybdenum steel (a metal that is more pliable than chrome vanadium, which is used as the primary material on many standard sockets) with a black oxide finish, and have thicker walls to handle the vibration and prevent cracking.
Impact socket sets are widely found in mechanics garages, for jobs such as removing the bolts from wheels, whilst heavy machinery technicians use them on industrial equipement like tractors and trucks, as well as scaffolders for removing seized bolts on scaffolding and steel beams.
