Drill Chucks
A drill chuck is designed to be fitted to the front of a drill or driver, allowing compatible accessories to be securely held in place. It can be used with drill bits, screwdriver bits, hole saw arbors, countersinks and other suitable rotary accessories, depending on the drill and chuck type.
The most common types of drill chuck are keyless and keyed. A keyless chuck can be twisted by hand to tighten or loosen around the accessory, while a keyed chuck uses a chuck key to secure or release the bit. Angled drill chucks can also change the working angle of the accessory, making them useful when tightening or loosening fasteners in hard-to-reach areas.
Drill chucks can be used with many types of drills, including cordless drills electric drills and air-powered drills, and are widely used by many tradespeople and DIYers.
