Spot Weld Drill Bits
A spot weld drill bit is a specialist drill bit with a self-centring point, used to drill out spot welds without causing unnecessary damage to the surrounding metal.
Spot welds are small, circular welds that join overlapping sheets of metal together, commonly found in automotive body panels, fabrication work and sheet metal assemblies. Spot weld drill bits are designed to cut around or through the weld area more accurately, allowing the top sheet of metal to be separated from the lower sheet while helping to preserve the underlying panel.
Spot weld drill bits are commonly used by sheet metal workers and automotive engineers for tasks such as removing damaged vehicle panels, separating brackets and carrying out repair or fabrication work.
