KNIPEX Circlip Pliers
KNIPEX circlip pliers are hand-operated tools designed to install and remove circlips, which are retaining rings fitted into grooves on shafts or inside bore holes and prevent components such as bearings, gears and wheels from moving along a shaft or out of their housing.
The tips of KNIPEX circlip pliers fit into the holes at each end of the circlip and external circlip pliers expand the ring so it can pass over a shaft, while internal circlip pliers compress the ring so it can be inserted into or removed from a bore hole.
KNIPEX circlip pliers are made from chrome vanadium steel, which is oil-hardened and tempered to provide added strength and help extend tool life.
They are available with straight or angled tips for accessing retaining rings from different working positions and are commonly used by mechanics, automotive technicians, machinery assemblers, maintenance engineers and industrial repair professionals.
