Butt Connectors
A butt connector, also known as a butt splice connector, is an electrical connector used to join two wires end-to-end, creating an in-line connection between conductors, allowing a cable to be extended, repaired or joined without using a terminal block.
The stripped ends of the wires are inserted into opposite ends of the connector before being crimped with a compatible crimping tool, which compresses the metal sleeve around the conductors, helping to create a secure mechanical and electrical connection.
Butt connectors are available in insulated and uninsulated versions, depending on the application and installation environment.
They are widely used by electrical engineers, automotive technicians, panel builders, maintenance engineers and installers for cable repairs, wiring extensions, control panels, vehicle electrics, lighting circuits and general electrical assembly work.
