Heat Guns
A heat gun is also known as a 'hot air gun' and is designed to emit a continuous stream of hot air (some heat guns can produce up to 700°C) from its nozzle, which is significantly hotter than that produced by a hair dryer.
Heat guns have an internal heating element to heat up the air, which is then emitted from the power tool via a fan that forces it through the nozzle. Many heat guns also feature adjustable temperature and airflow settings, allowing the operator to control how heat is applied.
Heat guns are popular handheld DIY power tools that are used to remove paint and wallpaper, thaw frozen pipes and dry surfaces, but they are also used professionally to loosen bolts, remove decals from cars, desolder electronic components, shape plastic, shrink heat-shrink tubing on electrical connectors, as well as being popular with roofers to create waterproof seams and make rubber membranes more malleable for shaping.
