Ratchet Spanners
A ratchet spanner can also be known as a 'ratcheting spanner' or 'ratchet wrench'. This tool can have two ratchet ring ends in different sizes or be a combination ratchet spanner, which has a ratchet ring end and flared end of equal size.
The ratchet mechanism is designed to turn a fastener in one direction but not in the opposite direction. The simplicity of the mechanism means that with a flick of the switch next to the head or by turning the spanner around, the fastener can then be turned in the opposite direction.
