Crows Foot Spanners
A crows foot spanner is a hand tool that is also known as a 'crows foot wrench' and has a similar function to an open-end spanner but does not have a handle or shaft. Crows foot spanners grip the sides of fasteners and they have a connection point which is designed for a handle or tool to be inserted into it (such as a ratchet or extension bar), so that the crow foot spanner can work on fasteners in confined or hard to reach spaces.
Crows foot spanners are used by vehicle mechanics, for tightening and loosing bolts in hard to reach areas on an engine, plumbers when working on fasteners in tight spaces, such as under a sink and aircraft engineers working on hard to reach fasteners on an aeroplane.
