A hex screwdriver bit has a six sided hex shaped tip, that is used with drills, electric screwdrivers and ratchet screwdrivers to tighten or loosen hex head screws and bolts. Due to the shape of hex screwdriver bits, they are able to apply more torque to fasteners than many other screwdriver bits can to their corresponding fasteners, which reduces the chances of the the operator having slippage or cam-out.
