Crimping Dies

A crimping die is placed into a crimping tool, which presses the crimping die against a connector, such as a cable lug or butt connector, to deform the connector against a wire or cable, in order to create a permanent mechanical and electrical bond.

Crimp dies come in various sizes to crimp specific cable types but they are also available in different crimp profiles, such as hexagon, indent and circle shapes, which are designed to meet varying mechanical and electrical performance standards on different connectors.

Crimping dies are used by anyone that would use a crimp tool, such as an aerospace engineer, wire harness technician, mechanic, electrician, telecommunication engineer and anyone else that needs to create a secure electrical connection.
