Battery Powered Crimping Tools
A battery powered crimping tool is also known as a 'cordless crimp tool' and is a power tool designed to generate mechanical force, in order to deform cable connectors so that they securely connect to a cable or wire, creating a permanent mechanical and electrical bond.
Battery powered crimping tools are either dieless or require a die. Dieless crimp tools have a mechanism that self adjusts and can crimp a wide range of sizes, making them popular with operators that dont wan't to carry a die set around with them. Whereas crimping tools that require a die are preferred because the crimp style can be changed dependent on the die.
These tools are cordless, which enables complete freedom of movement for the operator, as well as being able to crimp connectors remotely. In addition they enable the operator to crimp with one hand are widely used in the aerospace, solar and motor vehicle sectors, but are also widely used by electricians and telecommunication engineers.
