A spark plug socket is used to install and remove spark plugs from car engines and usually this type of socket will have a rubber insert in the head, which allows it to sit-on and hold the spark plug snugly.
If you are struggling to reach the spark plug in the engine then you may need an extension, which can be added to a ratchet to extend the reach of the spark plug socket.
