Sanding Discs
A sanding disc is a circular abrasive tool that is used with a sanding tool to smooth and prepare many materials, such as wood, plastic, metal and composites.
Sanding discs come in various sizes to suit the needs of the job, as well as in various grits and materials, such as aluminium oxide, silicon carbide or if the sanding job is heavy duty and lots of material is being removed then use a ceramic sanding disc. All of the different sanding disc materials specialise in smoothing and stripping different materials, with most connecting to sanding tools by hook-and-loop or pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA).
Sanding discs are used by decorators, DIYers, furniture refinishers, metalworkers and woodworkers.
