Slitting Shears

A slitting shear is a powered cutting tool designed to make clean, fast cuts through sheet metal such as mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium, in straight or gently curved lines.

Slitting shears operate like motorised scissors, shearing the material between blades rather than grinding or sawing it away, which helps produce a clean cut with less heat, fewer sparks, reduced distortion and minimal waste. They also reduce operator effort compared with manual shears and are better suited to longer cuts or repeated cutting tasks.
