The dead blow hammer is your friend when you have a stuck part to free or you need a tight-fitting joint to fix together. Delivering impact without marring, this long-handled hammer can be used in a variety of applications.
The Bahco dead blow hammer has a multi-layer polyurethane (PU) head and anti-sliding handle. The moveable weight in the head means that when a strike is made, the energy is absorbed and dispelled into the object rather than vibrating through your hand and wrist.
This virtually eliminates any rebound, a common problem with a standard mallet. Even though it delivers a great deal of force when swung, the hammer is light, making it easy and comfortable it use. The PU head is also helpful in minimising marring or damage to the struck object.
Dead blow hammers are used in many different industries including aviation, engineering and wood working, any time a significant force is needed but without losing precision or impact.
When you need a little more force to either fix or dislodge an object, the dead blow hammer is the tool of your choice.
For precision work where you need a controlled force, it can be used successfully with chisels and other sharp objects. Better still, it won’t damage the tool either.
With the head weighing at 5kg (176oz), the long handle measures 910mm, with a large hammerhead and a striking area of 105mm. The handle is also anti-slip too, making mis-strikes less of a problem.
