A crimp tool die is used to crimp connectors, such as cable lugs or butt connectors for electrical and installation work.
The connector is placed on the end of the electrical cable and the die is placed in the crimp tool, which is then compressed onto the connector, so that the die surrounds the connector and crimps it securely on to the cable.
Each crimp die is sized dependent on the gauge of the wire and connector.
