A butt connector can also be known as a 'through connector', 'cable connector', 'butt splice connector' or 'compression joint' and enables one wire to be connected to another, by compressing an electrical connection between the wire ends (either stranded or solid wires), creating a seamless wire connection.
To compress the butt connector to the wire, you should use crimping pliers for a safe and secure connection.
